"The Star Spangled Banner SUV"

    nEW YORK, July 4 - The American Council of Branding and Marketing chose it's gleaming
Madison Avenue 50th floor office today to announce a new variation on an old theme most
remember from their earliest school days: The Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of Starbucks, GAP, and Ricky Martin. And to
the Republic for which they stand, one nation judged by sales, indivisible with brand
loyalty and vicarious celebrity association for all."
     


Council executives said before the end of this year they would unveil a
stealthy project in production that they would refer to now only as the
"Star Spangled SUV."
